Habit pt. 1
May 8, 2021Life is busy and it can get be easy to get distracted. If you find a project that you want to pursue, you will find a way to work on it. The more ways and time you find to work on your project the more consistency you develop and the more it becomes a habit.
Consistency can mean different things for each person and even each project. It could mean once a day, multiple times a week or even a month. Getting that consistency takes time and being patient to get it can be difficult.
The best thing to do when you start feeling flustered is to take a deep breath and breathe. Be happy that the project means that much to you. Take a look at how much you’ve accomplished so far. Then take another step or action on your project. The momentum will start to come back.
Being interrupted in projects can happen often. The best way to handle being interrupted is to accept the fact that you will have to come back to finish. Once you’ve take care of the interruption or it’s been a bit, take a look at one thing you can get done. Once you’ve completed that one thing, take a look at your project as a whole and figure out your next step. Continue to do this until you’ve successfully completed your project.
Developing a consistent habit takes time. Just be sure to enjoy the process.
